Le Matos
Summer Of 84 (Original Soundtrack)

What with us all loving '80s throwback horror at the moment, Death Waltz Records have been helping us get our fix with some stellar releases. Summer of 84 continues where Stranger Things left off - kids with flashlights (torches, please) and menacing clouds galore. The original score by Le Matos is a fantastic mix of driving synth horror and ambient subtlety. It echos masters such as John Carpenter and oozes a cool horrorific goo.

Join Us

Le Matos released this album their very own selves back in 2013, but in the intervening time they provided the soundtrack to Turbo Kid, and you know what those soundtrack fans are like. So now Death Waltz have put Join Us into proper circulation with a double LP reissue, pressing the musics to one white vinyl and one grey-swirl-pattern vinyl. Deluxe synth reissue.

Turbo Kid (Chronicles Of The Wasteland)

Death Waltz Recordings dabble again in issuing another fantastic film score. Le Matos’ soundtrack to 2015’s Turbo Kid mimics the films loving look back to the 80’s post-apocalyptic golden age. This will certainly make your ears prick up if you love John Carpenter’s arpeggiated basslines, Daft Punk’s glistening reimagining of Tron, or any of the modern resurgence of synth pop from College to Chvrches.
