Mild High Club x King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Rolling Stoned

As the saying goes, there’s two sides to every song, and King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard and Mild High Club get one 7” side to record their own take on the same track. “Rolling Stoned” – originally written by Mild High Club’s frontman Alex Brettin – featured as a hidden track on their debut Timeline album back in 2015. After both bands collaborated to produce the jazzy “Sketches of Brunswick East” album last year, this release is just the epilogue we need (and deserve).

Mild High Club
Skiptracing

Mild High Club’s second album in just a year has a pleasing concept: the idea is that a private detective is on the trail of “the spirit of American music” circa the 1970’s. What he finds is Skiptracing, a cool suite of Californian groove and Steely Dan-esque jazz-inflected mellow-rock. A fun record on Stones Throw.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard With Mild High Club
Sketches Of Brunswick East

What is it now???? Leave us alone. Yet another album from King Gizzard but this time with a twist. This one is a collaboration with Stones Throw hipster troupe Mild High Club in which the two bands jam out an exploratory album which is influenced by Ethiopian music, Miles Davis and Tropicalia. Never sit still this lot so when you don't like one album, you can be reassured that there'll be another one along in a minute.

Mild High Club
Timeline

If Black Moth Super Rainbow got loaded on Quaaludes, maybe Mild High Club is what would happen. Their debut album Timeline is a severely poppy trip (not to be confused with a severe poppy trip), the songs coming at you through a dream-like sludge. Abandon your expectations, because Alexander Brettin will surprise you anyway.
