For is already one of Glaswegian C Duncan’s most popular songs, so why should he not rebuild it for the changing seasons? For (Autumn Rework) is more bombastic, with Steve Reich-like instrumentations creating a musical backdrop. A great antidote to November's rainy gloom. Limited to 500 copies on orange vinyl!

After gaining a Mercury prize nomination and a boat load more production skills with his debut album, C Duncan, returns with a new single. It’s a huge washy and glorious synth-ballad. Straight shooting drums and walking bass line with almost orchestral synth arrangements, and his layered voice floating around somewhere in the middle.

Cute lil' 7" from the once folk-quaint C. Duncan, who did what every indie rock darling does and played around with synths on The Midnight Sun. "Other Side" was one of Duncan's first public excursions with electronics and offered a shimmering sideways glance to his usual style, his delicate and decidedly Grizzly Bear vocal mingling with warm layers of tone. It's arguably the song bridging the disconnect between Midnight Sun and his debut Architect, and it's matched with a new tune on the flip, the typically titled "Sibling".
Available on LP or CD on FatCat records. This is the wondrous debut album from sun-dappled Glaswegian C Duncan. 'Architect' is a fantastic album just waiting be be played on your stereo through summer. Will appeal to fans of Django Django, Sufjan Stevens and last years pop master Stephen Steinbrink.
Last year Glaswegian C Duncan released his debut album, Architect which was a Norman favourite (#30 in the Albums of the Year list). On his new LP The Midnight Sun he has taken a more experimental approach with sweeping synths and electronics undercutting his layered harmonies and gorgeous instrumentation. LP and CD on Fat Cat.
