Gross Net
Gross Net Means Gross Net

Phillip Quinn, AKA, Gross Net uses his latest album title to hammer home the meaning of his music-making moniker a la Teresa May with Gross Net Means Gross Net. It could be said the music is inspired by May and her cronies too. The political mess we’re in has brought some avant garde experimentalism and dark electronics out of him that recalls Coil, late-period Scott Walker and Popol Vuh, all delivered with black humour.

Gross Net
Quantitative Easing

Gross Net is Phillip Quinn of Girls Names, though it used to also by Christian Donaghey of Autumns. Quantitive Easing is the debut full-length of the project, which trades in queasy-feel industrial pop: cold-wave synths and drum machines, grey drones and vocals. Quantitive Easing is released on vinyl by Touch Sensitive.

Some jagged noises from Gross Net. This self-titled release is a tasty three tracker from Belfast's favourite weirdos. Full of reverby guitars, woozy synthesiser and dubbed out vocals. It's like Glen Branca invited Suicide and Throbbing Gristle over for a party and they tried to write a pop song but ended up taking too much acid again. Out on cassette tape from Art For Blind.
