Gone / Danger

Romare has done two important things in the last two years. Firstly he made the two tracks on this 12" but more importantly perhaps he learnt to ride a motorbike. I have utterly no idea on what this tidbit of information this has on this record which is his first new material since the acclaimed Love Songs: Part Two. Expect direct dancefloor driven electronica with doomy bass lines and perhaps if we are lucky the distant hum of a two stroke engine.

Live Sessions 1

On 'Live Sessions 1' Romare presents a selection of session tracks that deconstruct the originals into looser compositions, rich and soulful, yet stripped back and intoxicating. The environment has allowed for off the cuff tweaks and edits to slide into the mix, resulting in renewed energy and space to breathe and move.

Love Songs: Part Two

London-based DJ and producer Romare returns with his 10-track album, Love Songs: Part Two. Romare's production style incorporates idiosyncratic usage of samples, steady beats, and a constantly evolving world of sound which never fails to sustain intrigue. Released as white vinyl double LP, black vinyl double LP, and CD on the Ninja Tunes label.

Who Loves You / Together

With his album Love Songs: Part Two coming up on Ninja Tune, Who Loves You is taken from it and slapped on a 12”, backed with an exclusive track not to be found on the album - Together. Take a nonlinear trip through disco a psychedelia, it’s groovy, sexy and warm dance music with a one man jazz band feel.

Romare is so full of ideas that he has taken on the task of remixing a track from his recent album Projections himself: twice in fact. Rainbow is present on both sides of this 12”, in new versions that still retain an essentially disco-informed approach. Plus, a new Romare track, ‘Love Song’. On Ninja Tune.

Romare absorbs the landscape of the ill-defined "dance music" world of the last however many years, landing on Ninja Tune to deliever Projections, a record that's joyous and urgent in sound, moving with the seamlessness of a Since I Left You or an Endtroducing. Lots of musical collaging, lots of love.

Some baggy moves from London based producer Romare. Roots is the single before the LP which will be out early 2015. It begins with an intriguing guttural vibration, like an acid trip guided by a didgeridoo. With this Romare lays the foundation and he slowly tumps this jazzy house groove. He intersperses hats, hand claps and soulful vocal samples in a Moodymanesque fashion. Out on 12" vinyl from Ninja Tune.
