Linkwood
System

Scotsman Linkwood’s 2009 debut album System is a funky affair. The album is a bit all over the place, boasting film noir-ish interludes and downtempo ballads in between album's the full-on funk mainstay. Simmering with head-bobber basslines, retro synthesizers, and sexy vocals, this vinyl reissue is smoother than the butter you left on the stove.

Linkwood
Fresh Gildans

Are you allowed to go at 150 BPM? Isn't that one of the forbidden tempos? Well no one ever told Linkwood who's determined the make you dance (fidget?) faster than you thought you could. Fresh Gildans features three new tracks from the electrofunk producer. But don't get too excited, the B-side takes things a bit easier.

Linkwood
Volume One

Edinburgh-based producer Linkwood sets up Night Theatre label as a base for his own productions. If Volume One is anything to go by, it’s a label to keep an eye on. The two tunes here are both hypnotic club rollers that show great range. ‘Minemeld’ is a beautifully restrained bit of deep house that brings to mind the likes of Will Long and Juniper, while B-side ‘Nae Drama’ is a more psychedelic cut that is in keeping with a lot of other great dance music coming out of Scotland these days - Whilst, Golden Teacher et al.

Linkwood
Expressions

A distinctive, quirky, squelchy smorgasbord of oddball electronics by Linkwood. Classic house vibes awash with synth ambience and propulsive techno all wrapped up in warm, fuzzy production form an immersive and unique listening experience. Out on CD and vinyl triple LP with screen printed sleeve from Firecracker.
