The Blind Shake
Live at Third Man Records

Another hot brace of live recordings made within the analogue haven of Jack White’s Third Man Records and cut down to 7” single length. The Blind Shake are a noisy weird-rock band from Minneapolis who set their sights on a particular point and then motor their way there at high speed. Good dirty rock music.

The Blind Shake
Breakfast Of Failures

With drums that thrash all night and chord sequences that descend into hell and then stick around for a show, the Blind Shake make a very singular kind of garage rock, which pays more attention to fuzz and punk vitriol than, like, Ty Segall does. 'Breakfast Of Failures' is messy, dejected and ugly, but primal and compelling too. It comes highly recommended for fans of the Gun Club looking for a new home.

The Blind Shake
Live in San Francisco

The Blind Shake played Live In San Francisco back in 2013, and, to all our delight, the recordings are now seeing the light of day as part of John Dwyer’s Castle Face label’s live series. Shaking, rocking, high-energy heavy hillbilly thrash. The recording sounds great, really transmitting the feel of the live room into your stereo system.

Swami John Reis & The Blind Shake
Modern Surf Classics

Reverb and beach sand go hand in hand, and Swami John Reis and the Blind are here to assure you that it's a winning combo. This surf record, rather proudly and unassumingly titled Modern Surf Classics, is made out of all the usual fret-frenetic riffs, but is covered over with saxophone freakouts and tight percussion. The Beach Boys have nothing.
