Bing & Ruth
No Home Of The Mind

After a couple of much loved releases on RVNG International, Kansas based composer David Moore aka Bing & Ruth has signed to 4AD. This is a much more apt signing for a label that was known for moody and elegant music than the fucking Lemon Twigs and should bring a bit of self cocking respect back to the imprint. 'No Home of the Mind' explores the piano's percussive qualities alongside woodwind and gorgeous soundscapes.

Bing & Ruth
Tomorrow Was The Golden Age

This one's important for fans of plaintive instrumental rock action and neo-classical hibernation: pianist David Moore leads the band Bing & Ruth into making minimalist pieces that meditate for a seemingly endless time. 'Tomorrow Was the Golden Age' is focused around his resounding piano performance, much in the fashion of Steve Reich or Dustin O'Hallaran. 'Tomorrow Was the Golden Age' is that good kind of ambient vibe: modest, unobtrusive, but forceful at the same time.

Bing & Ruth
City Lake

The full length debut from avant-ambienters Bing & Ruth is treated to an expanded reissue. City Lake takes in the exquisite piano work of David Moore, nestling the reverb-drenched tones amidst clarinet, cello and vocals for a luxuriously engulfing piece of work. Out on CD and 2LP vinyl from RVNG Intl.
