Duster Vinyl, CD & tapes by Duster at Norman Records

Show page list »

Stratosphere by American indie band, Duster, was originally released in 1998. It is a forgotten gem of the the slowcore genre. Just like Irish musical grandad, Val Doonican, they rock, but gently. Unlike Val Doonican, they will appeal to fans of mid-fi American indie-rock of the ‘90s. Reissue on Numero Group.

Contemporary Movement

Contempary Movement was the second and final album by American slowcore band, Duster. It was originally released in 2000 and followed their impressive debut, Stratosphere. It saw the album working as a fully-fledged three-piece for the only time. This is indie-rock to lie down to. A warm hug of under-produced analog sound and tape hiss.

Capsule Losing Contact

Numero Group boxset providing chapter and verse on American slowcore pioneers Duster. Although short-lived, the trio dealt in uniquely spaced-out post-rock soundscapes over the course of two albums, one EP and a handful of singles and compilation contributions around the turn of the millennium.
