Meatbodies Vinyl, CD & tapes from this artist at Norman Records
The unholy din you're hearing on "Tremmors" is made by Meatbodies, a band with a full-bodied psych rock sound that matches their name for velocity and volume. Sounding at times like an amped up Merchandise who want you to hear every bit of them, they've made this self-titled record of screeching guitars, isolated vocal harmonies and garage rock guitar interchanges. They are of course well loved by Ty Segall for making noise you can grasp and dance around to.
Meatbodies describe themselves as ‘Heavy Pop’, a concept that they actually pretty much live up to: louder and more metally than most indie pop, but a lot more melodic and actively ‘fun’ than most metal and hardcore. Alice, which is released by the In The Red label, is a good time ride through a concept story of some sorts. CD and LP editions.

Ty Segall-endorsed up and comers Wand are best mates with Meatbodies, with Wand frontman Cory Hanson a regular collaborator. This sludgy, heavy offering comes with a nice dollop of laid-back Californian hair fuzz. Their debut album is due out soon, meanwhile this 7" two-track vinyl is very limited stock so don't hang around.
