Maze & Lindholm
Where The Wolf Has Been Seen

New collaboration between Maze, who's part of Orphan Swords, and Otto Lindholm, the producer. Where The Wolf Has Been Seen is a great start to this team-up, chucking out four tracks based around Lindholm's double bass tones but adding in electronics and keening strings. A tension filled and claustrophobic work combining modern classical and dark electronica.

Orphan Swords
License To Desire

Orphan Swords are a Belgian duo who apply their electronics to a mysterious maelstrom of dark’n’noisy post-industrial sound. License To Desire is a three-track EP with a lot of punch to it, containing both Orphan Swords most restrained work to date and some properly snarling noisy stuff. Out on Aurora Borealis in an edition of 200 12”s.

Orphan Swords
License To Desire Remixes

Orphan Swords are a Belgian duo who apply their electronics to a mysterious maelstrom of dark’n’noisy post-industrial sound. Here they’ve handed their License To Desire EP over to Helm, Prostitutes, Svengalisghost, Black Rain and Icon Template for a variety of remixes that smash the tracks apart and rebuild them into new shapes. Out on Aurora Borealis.

Orphan Swords
Weehawken EP

Orphan Swords last release was as part of the Dark Acid V compilation, and that's as good a descriptor as any for their music. Their thick electro murk does deserve a fuller exploration though, so this Weehawken EP should be welcomed. The duo get into some low-slung club-rumbling beats here, with an attractive edge of menace to it all. 12” vinyl, out on Clan Destine.

Orphan Swords
Risk In A New Age

Although generally known to be lethal combination, there can also be a beauty to Orphan Swords, if you coat them in noise and speak emotionally about tough things in a controlled manner. It is a risk you have to take, and taking Risk in a New Age is something these Belgians love and will never stop doing.
