Guy Skornik

This is Guy Skornik’s score to Alejandro Jodorvsky’s film Tusk which was released in 1979, not another complete cover of Fleetwood Mac’s  album, Tusk, which was also released in 1979. This score is synth-driven space-age pop which, at the directors request, is intense and experimental. Features Steve Hillage on guitar. LP on Finders Keepers.

Guy Skornik
Pour Pauwels

A reissue of 1970s French prog/psyche/pop from Guy Skornik, a rather unusual sounding French geezer who was deeply into Eastern mysticism and LSD. The music on Pour Pauwels is equally acid drenched but without delving into the unbearable, as prog so often can. Skornik instead creates an album of lights and shade which traverses between crackin’ Kevin Ayers style guitar riffs and gentle psychedelic pop ballads in the style of Gainsbourg or Jean-Pierre Massiera. A limited edition of 500 copies on 180g.
