Adam's Apple
Aside from his brilliant work with Art Blakey and Miles Davis’ bands and his fusion pioneers Weather Report, American jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter recorded some stunning work as solo artist for Blue Note in the Sixties. 1966’s sublime ‘Adam’s Apple’ - featuring Herbie Hancock and Joe Chambers in his backing band - may be the best of the lot, featuring the first recording of his trademark composition ‘Footprints’.
