Wailing Souls / Al Campbell
Who No Waan Come / Unfaithful Children

Wailing Souls’ ‘Who No Waan Come’ and Al Campbell’s ‘Unfaithful Children’, two prime cuts from the Greensleeves vaults, get their first pressing since 1981. ‘Who No Waan Come’ is a velveteen reggae dream replete with doo-wop harmonies. ‘Unfaithful Children’, on the other hand, is tougher and rootsier with some great dub controls applied by producer Linval Thompson.

Wailing Souls
Kingdom Rise, Kingdom Fall

A reissue from the classic reggae/dub label Greensleeves, Kingdom Rise, Kingdom Fall by Wailing Souls rumbles along on a Lee Scratch Perry style, deep echoing drum beat for 10 minutes of classic, chill-out dub grooves. It’s got a bit of everything - deep bass, echoing vocals backed by some trill female vocals and some jangling percussion. It’s backed with A Day Will Come.

Wailing Souls
Fire House Rock

Here’s another vintage reggae record for all you rasta heads (not a requirement) out there. The Wailing Souls’s classic 1981 full length is here for your pleasure! Honestly, we’re pretty strict about not pushing drugs over here at Norman Records and the record definitely stands its own, but we’re also not telling you not to light a nice little doob while listening to Fire House Rock.
