Blue Hour

A self-released 12” from the man born Luke Standing. Unearthed is as you’d expect from someone who once found shelter under the awning of Ostgut Ton. Both sides of the record bang relentlessly at around the 130-mark, both feature loops of skittering tuned percussion, and both will be a fine addition to any capable DJ’s satchel.

Blue Hour
Common Ground

Labelled as a newcomer, Luke Standing - aka Blue Hour - was making waves in the techo world well before this latest project, producing moody techno music in the UK as Furesshu and Esoteric. Taking his craft elsewhere to Berlin via Bristol, ‘Common Ground’ follows where this year’s prominent release ‘Reference 97’ left off. Pressed onto 12” vinyl, ‘Common Ground’ features two percussive driven techno tracks ‘Falling Lines’ and ‘Common Ground’.

Blue Hour
Reference 97

While the ambient synths slowly oscillate around you, you find yourself drifting to the tireless beats that Blue Hour likes to pull from his 909 drum computer. Due to its combination of spheric ambient pads and intense beats, Reference 97 is a journey through the progressing soundscapes against which the bass drums on.
