Youth Code Vinyl, CD & tapes by Youth Code at Norman Records
Commitment to Complications is the new album by Youth Code. The industrial hardcore band, who take inspiration from EBM formed in Los Angeles in 2012. Since their eponymous debut in 2013, the band have toured extensively with the likes of Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly. All that they have gained from those experiences has been poured into this LP.
Youth Code are a fresh duo with an old-school Electronic Body Music sound, bringing Industrial dance back into prominence. They are satisfyingly harsh too, pushing drum machines to pummelling levels. The Anagnorisis 7” comes in advance of next year’s second full-length, with two tracks of howling goodness.
Youth Code fit snugly in the LA punk scene, but aren't about settling for its tacky promises. They show off their reverence for hardcore, New Wave, industrial and all the things that happen in between on their A Place To Stand EP. The first four tracks have the band shooting some brand new shit, while the flip offers remixes from artists such as Silent Servant.
Shouty, righteous but mature electronic punk noises from L.A’s Youth Code. Consisting of their debut LP, new EP A Place To Stand and tracks from the Angry Love 7”, An Overture showcases their powerful industrial intensity and keen ear for a good hook in equal measure. Out on CD from Dais.
