Molly Nilsson
Twenty Twenty

Eighth album from Molly Nilsson’ the hippest purveyor of urban melancholy via fond-memory synth-pop in quite some time. Twenty Twenty takes a look at the world as it currently, and channels those difficult feels through her keyboards and her distant-sounding vocals and lyrics. Released by Night School.

Molly Nilsson
History

Molly Nilsson’s excellent 2011 LP History gets a reissue courtesy of Night School (Paper Dollhouse, Rose McDowall). For anyone who didn’t hear History the first time around, all you need to do is imagine a more groove-centric rendering of Zola Jesus’ magisterial synth-Goth sound. ‘City Of Atlantis’ also beats PC Music to the punch by about 3 years.

Molly Nilsson
Follow The Light

Molly Nilsson’s second album Follow The Light was originally released as a CDr in 2010, copies of which are now, of course, extremely scarce. But this slice of Stockholm-via-Berlin pop deserves to be enjoyed widely, which makes this Night School reissue on CD and (for the first time) vinyl) extremely welcome.

Molly Nilsson
Single

Single contains two entirely exclusive new songs from Molly Nilsson, everyone’s favourite Swedish indie-synth-pop singer. These songs deal head-on with love and its consequences, via Nilsson’s much-loved cool and downbeat sound. Molly Nilsson
Imaginations

Swedish-born, Berlin-dwelling, world-travelling singer Molly Nilsson is deep into her career now, and she is still feeling melancholy. Imaginations puts her feelings into sweet synth-pop songs that swoon moodily in the way only Molly Nilsson songs can: cool, catchy, nostalgic and distant-eyed. Imaginations is released by Night School.

Molly Nilsson
Zenith

DIY supremo Molly Nilsson has, with her sixth record Zenith, dived headlong into huge synth-pop songcraft. Over thirteen songs, she takes on the world of relationships and sensations with a steely gaze and a decent reverb unit. A joint release by the Night School / Dark Skies Association labels, with very stark sleeve art.
