CTMF Vinyl, CD & tapes by CTMF at Norman Records
Billy Childish awakes, disorientated and with a splitting headache, in a small room lit by a single naked lightbulb. There is nothing in the room save for him and the chair he sits on. His hands and feet are tied to the chair he sits on. He has no idea how long he’s been in the room and has no idea how he got there. Within ten minutes of waking up he has recorded three albums and written a novel.
The 145,294th release from Billy Childish sees punk’s prince regent offer up a new version of 'Something's Missing Inside', a track from his recent CTMF LP Something’s Missing Inside. Comes backed with a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s ‘Walking On The Water’. Out via frequent home of Damaged Goods (Manic Street Preachers, Television Personalities).

Wild Billy Childish & CTMF
Billy Childish is an awesome dude, by all accounts -- the kind of chap you’d have on your list of people that you’d love to have round for dinner, along with Einstein, Stephen Fry and Reece Shearsmith. Who would you have on your list? This album is stripped down punk dirge with pop elements. Vinyl and CD.
Billy Childish and pals did sessions for both Marc Riley and Gideon Coe on BBC 6 Music in July. This 10” collects both. These 10 tracks betray a new-found interest in the possibilities of granular synthesis… nah, you know exactly what to expect! Hashtag rocknroll, hashtag 77. Only 800 copies of this little beaut.
Billy Childish's current crew with an alternate version of a track from their fifth album, Brand New Cage. The A-side is an impassioned and perplexed protest at the omission of Brian Jones’ name from the plaque in Dartford Station commemorating the formation of the Stones. B-side exclusive to this 7”. As ever, zero progression, maximum class of 1977 vibes.
CTMF are a loud rock/punk guitar band and on this 7” from Damaged Goods are two alternate versions from their recent LP, Brand New Cage. Exclusive to this release are I've Got A Conflicted Mind (Alt.Version) and In A Parallel World (Alt. Version). Both are fun, rock and roll cuts of old school guitar fun.
Wild Billy Childish with yet another album here, more specifically his fifth in as many years with CTMF. While his work rate remains astonishing, what’s perhaps more impressive is that most of the stuff he comes up with is still pretty damn good. Cuts like ‘Are You Better Than Me?’ and ‘The Punk Was In Me (And It Had to Come Out)’ are delightfully pig-headed garage rock. New bassist Nurse Julie contributes two tracks to Childish’s ten. Out on Damaged Goods.
Norman Records has UK exclusive on copies of this limited edition 7" (250 copies) sent to us from Formosa Punk Records - a small label based in Taiwan.Includes a previously unreleased track on the B-side 'Like A Padlock In My Hand'. Pure unadulterated garage rock & roll from this living legend and company.
CTMF is yet another group helmed by Billy Childish, the garage rock veteran and super-prolific artist. A Song For Kylie Minogue is taken from their new LP SQ 1, and the B-side True is exclusive to this single. The 7”s are pressed to either transparent red or transparent yellow vinyl, and are released by Damaged Goods.

CTMF is yet another group helmed by Billy Childish, the garage rock veteran and super-prolific artist: this is estimated to be his 150th LP. SQ 1 is another collection of fiercely joyous punk rock delivered with a snarl and a smile. Vinyl LP or CD packed in a sleeve designed by the band: out on Damaged Goods.
CTMF used to operate in the garage-rock scene that swirled around Billy Childish and his group Thee Headcoats. Now they are back on the scene, with gigs and with these 4 new tracks. A Glimpse Of Another Time is just that, a recollection of gnarly old times, vocals and guitars all distorted and tough. 7” on Damaged Goods.
Here he is again. Wild Billy Childish back with a new 7” with 2 exclusive tracks. 'Punk Rock Enough For Me' contains a lyric which consists of a list of things he deems "punk rock enough for him" over on the flip there's some retro punk that sounds like it was made back in '77 not unlike Alternative TV. This limited edition comes on brown vinyl with Childish's '77 mug on the sleeve.
