The Cosmic Dead
Eccie Bam Yas, E?

The Cosmic Dead can always be relied upon to go mad with it, pushing the full weight of their Scottishness into their mind-expanding psychedelic rock. However, Eccie Bam Yas, E? sees them going mad in a different direction to usual, eschewing most of the noisey power for a fully-spaced out improvised set. Delivered, via the usual amazing titles, as an LP from Monorail Music.

The Cosmic Dead
Rainbowhead

Typically wild new action from The Cosmic Dead, the Glaswegian psych-heavyweights. Rainbowhead features the group raging their way through jams that are weighty, frantic, riff-tastic and experimental all at the same time. This LP is pressed to ‘coke bottle clear’ vinyl (ooh!) on Blackest Rainbow, in a limited edition of 900 copies.

The Cosmic Dead
Psych Is Dead

The Cosmic Dead stand out from the crowd of present-day psych-rock explorers, in that the Glaswegian band do actually sound genuinely unhinged. Psych Is Dead finds them going all the way out over the course of three lengthy tracks, each apparently improvised on a cocktail of booze, heat, and intergalactic vibes. Out on Riot Season.

The Cosmic Dead
Exalted King

The Cosmic Dead’s second album, Exalted King, gets a well-deserved re-pressing on Cardinal Fuzz. A simple glance at the tracklisting will show you what we are dealing with here: Exalted King has just three tracks stretching out over seventy minutes and two LPs! That means the band have plenty of time to take their psych-rock into really deep and wild place: yum!

Mugstar / The Cosmic Dead
Split

A heavy astral fuzz leeks out of this split from Mugstar & The Cosmic Dead. Split features both bands tramitting there spacious vibes. Liverpool's Mugstar kick the record off with an 18 minute dive into the outer reaches of the cosmos, driving loops spuring this dark stoner-rock jam. Glaswegians The Cosmic Dead follow with a 20 minute journey propped up by funky basslines and spacey synths. Think Wooden Shjips vs NASA . Out on 12' vinyl from Evil Hoodoo.
