Iannis Xenakis
Persepolis

Having previously returned Xenakis’ La Légende d'Eer to vinyl, Berlin’s Karlrecords tackle the Greek composer's 1971 electroacoustic masterpiece. Commissioned by the Shah of Persia, it’s been unavailable on vinyl for decades, with CD editions often abbreviated. This is a new mix from Xenakis’ original 8-track master, cut by Rashad Becker. A truly groundbreaking piece that still sounds exhilarating and overwhelmingly intense. Should be sought out by any fan of avant garde electronics and noise.

Iannis Xenakis
La Légende D'Eer

Karlrecords have allowed Reinhold Friedl (main man in Zeitkratzer) to keep curate a series of major electroacoustic reissues for them: second up is a work by the almighty Iannis Xenakis. La Légende D’Eer is a huge piece of electronic sound, noisy and overwhelming and beautiful. Several different mixdowns and versions exist, but this is a new one, overseen by Rashad Becker. Crucial electronics!
