Theory of Colours - Versions

Dauwd revisits his Theory of Colours album with an EP that investigates and reconsiders three of its tracks in four different ways. Rouge Mecanique remixes ‘Murmure’ in two different ways, Vakula handles ‘Macadam Therapy’ and ‘Analogische Memories is presented in the lovely form of a spare piano version. 12” on Technicolour.

Jupiter George

‘Jupiter George’ is the third release in less than a year on ambient pop label Kompakt records by prolific disco/house champion Dauwd. The title track ‘Jupiter George’ is deeply reminiscent of the classic eighties disco sound whilst maintaining Dauwd’s fundamental originality. The charmingly named ‘Ritter Sport’ is a pounding, dancefloor house jam carried by a pulsating, swing rhythm. ‘Take Four’ is an early morning/end of the night, bleary eyed, sun soaked ballad to the party lifestyle. A must have release from a promising new voice.

Theory of Colours

Renown to create a techno and house meld that's equally as enjoyable in both home and club environments, Dauwd returns with seven-track release: Theory of Colours. As a producer with Iraqi roots and who was born in the US, raised in Wales and based in London, his sprawling influences drip feed into this works.

London-based but originally from Wales, electronic producer Dauwd returns with a new 12" on Kompakt. There are two tracks here showcasing his mature and dreamlike mix of house, techno and UK bass, full of undulating synths, unexpected melodic details and intricate pulsating rhythms. Gently euphoric stuff.
