Flume
Some Minds

Flume’s new track, Some Minds, gets the white label treatment. The Australian producer has enlisted the singer of Miike Snow to assist with some dramatic, sweeping vocals, which fit very nicely with this widescreen electronic pop number. On the B-side is an extra-housey Flume’s remix of Collarbones’ ‘Turning’. On Future Classic.

Flume
Skin Companion EP II

The meteoric rise of Australian producer Flume cannot be underestimated - a glance upon his Spotify stream statistics proves just how far the producer has come. After the resounding success of sophomore album 'Skin', the Garage and House-inspired musician returns with Skin Companion EP II - an extension written during his breakthrough era.

Flume
Tiny Cities feat. Beck (Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas Remix) / Take A Chance feat. Little Dragon (Kölsch Remix)

The amount of talent contained on this 12” is so weighty, it's amazing that the record can even be lifted. Producer Flume has enlisted Beck and Little Dragon to contribute vocals to Tiny Cities and Take A Chance respectively, and those tracks have then been tastily remixed by the killer neo-disco duo of Lindstrom and Prins Thomas on the A side and Kolsch on the B! My my. Limited edition 12” on Transgressive.

Flume
Skin

Another set of main-stage big tunes from Australian producer Flume. Skin is an example of the consummate modern electronic pop album, pulling in bits and pieces of different dance musics to make a banging whole. The range of vocal guests is very impressive, including Little Dragon, Little Dragon, Tove Lo and even Beck. CD / double LP on Transgressive.

Flume

Despite branding it 'close to perfect' Rolling Stone still only awarded Flume's self titled debut 4.5 out of 5 which is still a good score but a whole 0.5 away from perfection. Still this was a much loved future pop record at the time from the young (then) Australian. A cool electronic soul record with a host of guests and a roomful of admirers. Now re-issued on Wichita.
