Death In June
Essence!

Controversial British band Death In June have evolved from a post-punk/industrial trio into a neo-folk collective revolving around the enigmatic, only constant and founding member, Douglas P. They formed in 1981, with other founding members leaving to pursue other projects whilst Douglas P. kept the band going. Over the years they’ve collaborated with various people including Current 93’s David Tibet. Their new album, Essence, is available on various vinyl editions and CD via NER.

Death In June
Euro Cross

Euro Cross came about when Death In June elected in 2005 to return to their mid-nineties albums But, What Ends When The Symbols Shatter and Rose Clouds Of Holocaust, in order to re-record their favourite tracks. This material was previously available only in a limited edition box-set housed in stone (...), but is now separately available on vinyl, thanks to New European Recordings.

Death In June
Symbols and Clouds

Death In June‘s mid-nineties albums But, What Ends When The Symbols Shatter and Rose Clouds Of Holocaust were whittled down and combined into one album of highlights in 2009, as Symbols And Clouds. Problem is, that release was a limited edition box-set housed in stone packaging, making it hard to get hold of. But now that problem is solved, with both CD and double vinyl editions of Symbols And Clouds available on New European Recordings.

Death In June
Free Tibet

If you want Neofolk, post industrial oddness with an unnerving edge, look no further than Douglas Pearce and David Tibet. Death In June and the vocal stylings of Tibet from Current 93 fame show you the ropes here. Originally released as a free download 10 years ago, this is the first official CD release.

Death In June
Peaceful Snow

Re-released for the second time in its original form, Peaceful Snow is essentially a collection of unwavering ballads from Douglas P., who is accompanied by Slovakian pianist Miro Snejdr. It’s a departure from the neo-folk grounding of recent Death In June albums and a mile away from the post-punk beginnings. Out on CD from US label Soleilmoon.
