Cerrone Vinyl, CD & tapes by Cerrone at Norman Records

Show page list »

Disco legend Marc Cerrone reboots his erstwhile Kongas project. Given that the group have only released the odd EP for the last 40 years it’s unsurprising to find that Cerrone drafted in new blood to help lay down Afrodesia. Despite the change in personnel these exuberantly funky tunes show that Cerrone still knows how to get a party going after all these years. Anyone still mourning the passing of Prince should find some solace in Afrodesia.

Give Me Remixes

We can never devour enough French disco, but remixes might be even better. Featuring remixes by the likes of The Reflex and Alan Braxe, these Cerrone tracks are presented with rediscovered themes and beats. Lend a fresh air to these reworkings and say it with me: Give Me Remixes! Time to get dancing!

Red Lips

Marc Cerrone is a legendary disco producer from near Paris and has sold 30 million albums worldwide! At the age of 54 he has released this brand new album of disco funk moves to get yer feet a dancin' and your hips a swayin'. It uses all the old techniques that made his 70's work so lauded. Please place your dancing shoes on your feet.

Unbelievably funky electronic soul from Cerrone. On Afro he borrows the drumming skills of the legendary Tony Allen. The drums which helped out Fela Kuti are here used to compliment his rapid-fire string arrangements and wah-wah guitar. The B sides keep the groove with Manu Dibango helping out and a remix from garage icon Todd Edwards.

Cerrone IV - The Golden Touch

Apparently there’s never enough European French disco to go around. Straight from the late 70s, Cerrone is finally being reissued on vinyl. We know this is the moment you’ve been dreaming of ever since you heard Music of Life, so that’s why Cerrone IV - the Golden Touch is brought back to life. Get your swing on!

Cerrone VII - You Are The One

Definitely one of Cerrone’s even more groovier efforts, Cerrone VII - You Are the One is an undisputed classic among the lively crowd of Cerrone connoisseurs. Originally released in 1980, it has stood the time as a boogyin, swingin, transposin and high pitched masterpiece of disco europop. Get your boogie on!
