Bernard Parmegiani
Violostries

Bernard Parmegiani was a French experimental composer who, by the looks of photographs of him, regularly thinks hard into his beard.... probably about avant-garde music. This selection of 1960s and early 1970s performances is a perfect example of how he uses breaths, minimalist microsonic sounds and field recordings to push forward his theories. This edition comes cut by Rashad Becker with layout by Stephen O'Malley of Sunn O))).

Bernard Parmegiani
De Natura Sonorum

More classic sound sorcery from legendary French composer Bernard Parmegiani. This is a repress of a 1984 recording where Parmegiani made six musical movements  - often related to each other and often coming in pairs. He explores the possibilities of sound creation using electro acoustic and concrete origins of sound. Rashad Becker masters it, Stephen O'Malley designed the sleeve.
