MFC Chicken
Fast Food & Broken Hearts

Junk food-themed rock ‘n’ rollers MFC Chicken announce their fifth studio album, Fast Food & Broken Hearts. Formed a decade ago in a flat on Holloway Road above a chicken shop that gave them their name, they’ve established a great reputation as a live act for their riotous shows, something that this album captures perfectly.

Goin' Chicken Crazy

As one of the more humorous and slapstick outfits setting London's rock'n'roll scene alight, Colonel Spencer and co. release a blissful edition with a spicy concoction of outlandish vocals and vintage party vibes. Goin' Chicken Crazy is upbeat, raw and ultimately clukin' wild!

It’s... MFC Chicken Time!

MFC Chicken play an old school form of rock, the kind that only makes sense with “n’Roll” appended to it. It’s... MFC Chicken Time! is their cheerily-titled third album, full of “twistin’, stompin’ and shoutin’” tunes like ‘Bad News From The Clinic” and “Colonel Sanders’ Bastard Son”. Rather unfortunately for a band with such a strong association to food, the album is released by a label named Dirty Water.

MFC Chicken
Solid Gravy

I was well into MFC Chicken's debut LP 'Music For Chicken' so it's good to see they've got another one out. This troupe got together when Canadian-born frontman and sax honker Spencer Evoy had just arrived in London and was busking outside a chicken shop trying to earn enough money to get something to eat, only to be heard by a kindred spirit living above the shop, Bret Bolton. Pretty soon they'd put a band together and now they're one of London's premier garage acts, playing a predominantly chicken-themed '60s-soaked rock'n'roll time-warped from the days when tenor sax was cool, complete with more hooks than velcro. Not a million miles from King Salami and his schtick, and just as fun.
