Dawes
Passwords

The importance of passwords may be lost on Twitter, but not on Dawes. The group's sixth record broadens what the term "relationship" means in 2018, thinking politically and interpersonally through considered songwriting that's as confused as we are about the world at large. Though personal in tone, this is also one of Dawes' most expansive records.

Middle Brother
Limited Edition 10”

Middle Brother are something of an alt-country supergroup, mixing the main songwriters / singers of Dawes, Delta Spirit and Deer Tick into one powerful trio. So much voice! The straightforwardly-titled Limited Edition 10” is pressed as a picture disc, and is exclusive to independent record shops. On Partisan Records.

Dawes
Stories Don't End

Dawes aren't (ha ha) the same ones with  Jim Morrison in but are in fact a laid back bunch of retro rockers from LA who have clambered out of bed for long enough to re-press this their third album of breezy Laurel Canyon style folk rock. These smooth and soulful songs take their cue from earlier long hair strummers such as Jackson Browne and Poco. Peace.

We're All Gonna Die

We’re All Gonna Die is the fifth album by LA folk-indie-rock band Dawes (not to be confused with The Doors or Dawes bicycles, for that matter). Band leader Taylor Goldsmith likes to write about difficult situations people get into but will temper that with a positive ending. We’re All Gonna Die features guest performances from Jim James of My Morning Jacket, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius, Mandy Moore, and the one and only Will Oldham.

All Your Favorite Bands

‘All Your Favorite Bands’ is the highly anticipated, fourth album release from LA based, rock four piece Dawes, out on their very own label Hub records. With the exception of the title track, which was written in collaboration with Jonny Fritz, every track on the album was written by Taylor Goldsmith and the album really showcases the vocalist/guitarist’s unique skills as both musician and songwriter as well as highlighting the instinctive symbiosis between himself and Griffin Goldsmith (drums, background vocals), Wylie Gelber (bass) and Tay Strathairn (keyboards, background vocals).
