Carter Tutti Void
f (x)

Next tight little release from the indomitable Carter Tutti Void trio (Throbbing Gristle, Factory Floor). f(x) finds them destroying dancefloors with a sharp set of tunes that balance beat-hypnotism with icy synth melodies. This release continues a brief but powerful tradition of excellent material from these three, and is out on the Industrial Records label.

Carter Tutti Void
Triumvirate

Carter Tutti Void - the industrial music supergroup made up of Chris Carter, Cosey Fanni Tutti and Nik Colk Void - say that Triumvirate will be their final LP together. Let’s all appreciate this lot while we can, then. Sounds like … well it sounds exactly like what you get when you link up two former members of Throbbing Gristle with one half of Factory Floor.

Cosey Fanni Tutti
Tutti

Tutti is Cosey Fanni Tutti's first solo album since 1982's Time to Tell, and is an exploration of her self, life and art. It was created to be the soundtrack to Harmonic Coumaction, a film about Tutti. The album features the unsettling pounding synths we've come to expect from the Throbbing Gristle crew but is made more personal in how Tutti incorporates other elements.

Chris Carter

Chris Carter
Disobedient

Reissue of Chris Carter’s 1998 live album Disobedient here courtesy of the good ship Mute. This edition includes the original track list - made up of recordings from a 1995 European tour - and bonus beat ‘Disobedient Redux’, a new number Carter has cobbled together exclusively for the record. As with the rest of Disobedient, this tune is thrillingly mucky astral techno/industrialism from the former Throbbing Gristle fellow.

Chris Carter
Small Moon

1999 saw the release of Chris Carter’s Small Moon album, a solo release that dabbles into some techno flavours. Carter’s experimental sound design melds beautifully with the techno pallette, and I like to imagine that a few of the more out-there clubs in 1999 might have played some of this to you. This reissue features a new 2018 track called ‘Small Moon Redux’.

Mondo Beat

Throbbing Gristle’s Chris Carter is currently having a few of his solo records reissued by Mute. Mondo Beat, his 1985 sophomore LP, is one of his most essential sets. The tunes here are industrial electronics par excellence, and the classic jam ‘Moonlight’ remains a high point in minimal-wave disco. Once again we dance to the Mondo Beat.

Chris Carter
Archival Recordings 1973 – 1977

Rare treats from the Chris Carter archives, previously only available as part of a hefty and pricey vinyl boxset. Archival Recordings 1973 - 1977 is now available as a simple single purchase, giving us all the chance to enjoy these strikingly early works, all from before Throbbing Gristle were formed and some from as early as 1973. Great stuff from the young Carter.

The Spaces Between

Grey vinyl re-press of the Optimo re-issue of this classic piece of electronic music history originally released on Throbbing Gristle's own imprint. The sad bit is that it only contains six out of the thirteen tracks. The good bit is that this is essential early electronica that was decades ahead of it's time so you'll want to own it on wax.

Chemistry Lessons Volume 1.1 - Coursework

It’s barely been a minute since Chris Carter’s treated us to a tripped-out take on our boring high school years with Chemistry Lessons. With Chemistry Lessons Volume 1.1 - Course Work, he’s bringing us an extra track as well as three remixes, spanning cinematographic noise (Radiophonic Workshop), spaced-out techno (Chris Liebing), and dub techno (Daniel Avery).

Chris Carter
Chemistry Lessons Volume 1

The synth-king of Throbbing Gristle, Chris & Cosey and Carter Tutti Void presents a solo album, his first for seventeen years! Chemistry Lessons Volume 1 has a sort of vintage flavour, with old-school electronics weaving around almost folk-esque melodies. It’s got twenty-five tracks too, so plenty of Carter to feast on. Released by Mute.

Throbbing Gristle
The Factory Manchester, May 18th, 1979

Pretty self-explanatory stuff from the folks at East / West, who issue another rare and random live offering, this time from Throbbing Gristle. The industrial pop electronic rock avant-garde noise crew used their evening at the Factory wisely, performing nine tunes between Third and Final Report and 20 Jazz Funk Greats. Won't be round for long, will it?
