Black Rain
Computer Soul EP

Inspired by the themes and characters of science fiction, Black Rain create dark, atmospheric sounds on Computer Soul EP, the final release in a sequence first started back in 2011 of releases on Blackest Ever Black. The sound moves from cyberpunk to thrash metal and industrial rock - as long as it's dark, it's here.

Black Rain & Shapednoise
Apophis

Here we have a melding of the Black Rain project with Shapednoise, resulting in what we could almost call techno. However, the harsh electronics of Apophis threatens to overwhelm the trappings of that genre: we teeter on the brink throughout. With an extra remix from Demdike Stare’s Miles Whittaker. On Cosmo Rhythmatic.

Genesis Breyer P-Orridge / Black Rain / Cold Cave
Rebellion Is Over

A star-studded collaboration here, with Throbbing Gristle’s Genesis Breyer P-Orridge intoning atop sonics from Black Rain and Cold Cave (presumably during the period when Dom Fernow / Prurient was moonlighting with them). Rebellion Is Over was first released as a hyper-limited cassette: now DAIS  have put 500 7” copies out in the world.

Black Rain
Dark Pool

After the recent revival of interest in this old NYC project, spearheaded by Stuart Argabright, Black Rain deliver their first new album in 18 years. Dark moody experimental techno and futuristic EBM for fans of Carter Tutti, Severed Heads, Adam-X, Ron Morelli & L.I.E.S. plus yr dystopian sci-fi literary/celluloid classics.
