Guy Andrews

Take doesn't mean 'take' but instead is the Norwegian word for 'mist' or 'fog' - the sort of stuff I'd imagine London based composer Guy Andrews saw a lot of on his trip to Scandinavia. He is known for creating dark atmospheres and brooding soundscapes and here works with Alev Lenz, a composer whose music has recently been used on 'Black Mirror'.

Needle Six

Phil thinks Guy Andrews was the guy who sang that cover of 'Mad World' but I think he's hopelessly wrong. Guy Andrews in instead a London based producer and here he has collaborated on a live BBC 'Late Junction' session with Japanese vibraphone player Masayoshi Fujita. It has now been released on a very limited 12" to make your Record Store Day just that little bit more improvised.

Our Spaces

Guy Andrews became frustrated with his musical direction. His DJ sets weren’t quite doing it for him anymore. Starting from a clean slate with his debut album Our Spaces, he has created an album of electronica that shakes of the shackles of working within one genre. Our Spaces balances aggressiveness with sensitivity perfectly for a blissful experience. On Houndstooth.
