Sizzling EP

Led by a re-working of the 1981 track ‘Sizzlin’ Hot’ by Bermudan band Paradise, producer and musician Dan Snaith (a.k.a. Caribou) revives his lesser-known Daphni moniker for this new four-track EP. Featuring ‘Sizzling’ plus three other newbies, it’s released on Snaith’s own Jiaolong label.

Hey Drum / The Truth

Daphni (AKA Caribou, Dan Snaith) returns to his own Jiaolong label with two tracks of club ready banging house. Taken from his recent fabriclive mix, Hey Drum is a minimal percussion groove centred around simply vocal line, building up to chord stabs, before dropping straight back down. The Truth is a little more feverish, with a clear upbeat pace.

Joli Mai

Daphni presents a new album! The club-dance project of Dan Snaith (also the maestro behind Caribou) recently released a Fabriclive mix that was made up of fragments of unreleased new Daphni tracks… Well now some of those tracks have been extended, completed and released, in the form of Joli Ma. Sleek and human stuff, as ever from Snaith.

Face To Face / Tin

Dan Snaith (aka Caribou) can rest assured that the pain of his hair loss over the last few years has been tempered by phenomenal achievements with his musical activity. Here he releases the first new material from his Daphni side project in over three years. These slick and funky dance tracks also appear on his forthcoming Fabriclive mix but here’s your chance to get them on 12” vinyl.

What's Dan Snaith up to these days? Still raking in the sweet $$ from 'Can't do without you'? Well he's got enough to revive the party-hard Daphni moniker for a Fabriclive mix solely consisting of exclusive new Daphni material that'll have Keiran Hebden blushing with midtempo jealousy. Considering there hasn't been any new Daphni stuff since 2012, this is a treat for Snaithers everywhere.

Start Breaking My Heart

Repress of Caribou(Dan Snaith)’s second full length album on Leaf. If you got into Caribou mainly by Our Love this is a wonderful bit of homework. Originally released under his Manitoba moniker before repackaging as Caribou in 2001. Start Breaking My Heart flaunts more delicate jazz piano and guitar arrangements with leftfield electronic production, seeds that grew into what we hear today.
