Carl Craig
Detroit Love Vol. 2

After kicking off his Detroit Love series with a mix from Stacey Pullen, head-honcho Carl Craig is the one who steps up to bat this time around. Detroit Love Vol. 2 goes two ways depending on what format you pick. The CD is a mix that features some of Craig’s favourite tunes both old and new - rare gems from the likes of Ectomorph sit alongside cuts by Octave One, Mr. G and Craig himself. Eight of the choicest morsels make it to vinyl in their full, unmixed form - this includes exclusives from Claude Von Stroke and C2/DJ Minx as well as first-time-in-ages vinyl outings for Ectomorph and Rhythim Is Rhythim.

Versus Acoustic Versions

Ahead of Carl Craig’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall concert in collaboration with the Chinake! Orchestra comes this four-track 12” EP of versions of tracks from his 2017 Versus album. Rendered with acoustic instruments and without the use of beats or electronics, it once again shows that techno is perfectly capable of translating into high culture contexts.

Carl Craig Sessions

Carl Craig is a phenomenal Motor City DJ-producer with an impressive back catalogue; Sessions is a timely reminder. There are early Paperclip People tracks and masterful, classic remixes for Junior Boys, Delia Gonzalez & Gavin Russom, Rhythm & Sound and Beanfield. A classily danceable collection and a beautiful retrospective on triple LP, re-pressed by those nice peeps at !K7.

Carl Craig

Versus by Carl Craig was one of the first performances of its kind, bringing electronic beats to the same stage as violins and cellos. Originally performed in 2008 Planet E joins forces with InFiné to bring the Les Siècles orchestra, conducted by François-Xavier Roth, back together with Carl Craig for Versus’ first official recording. Available on CD, double LP or extended triple LP with additional acoustic versions.

More Songs About Food and Revolutionary Art

A remaster of the 1997 album by Carl Craig, More Songs About Food and Revolutionary Art is a minimalist soundscape which can at times sound anything but minimal. With crisp synth sounds throughout, the variation on theme and style throughout the album proves to be a delight but with an overall feeling of melancholy and of the setting sun at dusk. A double vinyl lp from Planet E. which contains a remix not on the 1997 album.
