Self Non-Self

Sort-of goths The Cranes released their second EP, Self Non-self in 1989. It was their first proper release, really, following on from the 1986 cassette-only Fuse EP.  To mark it’s 30th anniversary, an expanded version of the EP is being re-released. The band were led by brother and sister duo Alison and Jim Shaw and, despite not releasing anything since 2008, still perform to this day. 180g pink & black coloured vinyl, limited to 1000 copies on Music On Vinyl.

Wings Of Joy

Some might call Cranes’ genre-defying mix of dreampop with gothic instrumentations melodramatic, others would say it’s revolutionary. We won’t take much of a stand here: either way, their debut Wings of Joy is being brought back to life by the kind folks at Music on Vinyl. Dive right back into their experimental take on early 90s shoegaze!

The 1993 album by British shoegazers Cranes is now being made available again on vinyl! Forever is perhaps the best-loved of the band’s albums, with an all-round gorgeous sheen cast over the songs, some of which overwhelm with full-band power, and others of which peel things back to just piano and voice. Limited edition of 1000 records, reissued by Music On Vinyl.
