Tommy McCook & The Supersonics
Greater Jamaica - Moonwalk Reggae

One of the great early reggae LPs gets a reissue. With 1970’s Greater Jamaica - Moonwalk Reggae, Trojan Records introduced the British public to two big-hitters in the contemporaneous Jamaican music scene - Tommy McCook and producer Duke Reid. The dozen tracks here were recorded between 1967-1970, the period when reggae began to really assert its dominance over Rocksteady. Both can be heard in here, but what sings out most is the vibrant performances of McCook and his band The Supersonics.

Tommy McCook & The Aggrovators
Super Star-Disco Rockers

Pressure Sounds continue on their 2018 reissue tip with this pressing of Tommy McCook & The Aggrovators 1977 LP Super Star/Disco Rockers. A cornucopia of big names - Earl Smith on guitar, Tubby and Jammie engineering, Sly & Robbie covering the rhythm section, the list goes on - provide rocksteady grooves and dense fogs of delay over which McCook blows his horn.

Tommy McCook & The Aggrovators
King Tubby Meets The Aggrovators At Dub Station

Here’s a premium session by tenor saxophonist Tommy McCook (leader of The Skatalites and a prolific session player) and his group The Aggrovators. But wait, there’s more major personnel! Dub maestro King Tubby was sat at the controls, so naturally the sounds got totally deep and wild. King Tubby Meets The Aggrovators At Dub Station has been reissued, with extra tracks, by Radiation Roots.
