The Parliaments
Baby I Owe You Something Good

Before George Clinton became the high priest of cosmic funk with Parliament and Funkadelic he led the doo-wop group The Parliaments. Baby I Owe You Something Good contains songs from 1967-68 and show the band transitioning from Doo-wop to funk via soul with some amazing basslines. It features instrumental and vocal versions of the title track and All Your Goodies Are Gone.

Funkadelic
Live – Meadowbrook, Rochester, Michigan – 12th September 1971

Goddamn: the fully-fledged Funkadelic ensemble captured live in concert in their early days. Live - Meadowbrook, Rochester, Michigan - 12th September 1971 was recorded straight from the soundboard, meaning that this release is the closest you can get to that extraordinarily tight and groovy night. Fiercely psychedelic funk music, released on vinyl for the first time by Tidal Waves Music.

Parliament
5 Classic Albums

This must unquestionably be the best deal around in terms of funk-per-pound ratio. George Clinton’s intergalactic Parliament crew are essential for all space-funk fans, and this CD set contains five (5!) of their albums, including Mothership Connection and The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein, in one very reasonably-priced package. Cheers Universal.
