The Rats
In A Desperate Red

Garage punk band, The Rats, hail from Portland, Oregon and were active between 1980 and 1984. In A Desperate Red was their final album, originally released in 1983. Band leader, Fred Cole, left to form country band Western Front before reuniting (musically) with his wife, Toody Cole in proto-grunge punk band Dead Moon. Despite all of his other excellent projects, In A Desperate Red is widely regarded as one of Fred Cole’s best records.

Pierced Arrows
This Is The Day / Zip My Lip

After packing in Portland-based punk outfit Dead Moon after 20+ years in 2006, Fred and Toody Cole decided they couldn't keep away and teamed up with Kelly Halliburton to form Pierced Arrow. Mixing garage rock with proper songwriting and proper melodies, and with Fred freshly stitched-up after major surgery, what we have here is a a hand-numbered 7" recording of two live tracks from a gig in Austin, Texas. Limited to 500, this also comes with a paper insert, a gig ticket from the performance, and a hand-stamped inner sleeve.
