The Liminanas
Le Bel Été (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Film director Pierre Creton hooked up with The Limiñanas when they were on the road with their 2018 album, Shadow People. He asked them to write the soundtrack to his film Le Bel Été, and they duly obliged. The music is more electronic than what you’d usually expect from the duo. Features guest performances from Ivan Telefunken and Etienne Daho.

The Liminanas
One Blood Circle

The Limiñanas met fan and film director Pierre Creton whilst touring their album, Shadow People. Creton asked the duo if they would soundtrack his film, Le Bel Été. One Blood Circle is the film’s main theme song and features a guest performance from cult French singer, Etienne Daho. The B-side of this 7” sees them covering Non Non Rien N’a Changé, a bit of French classic originally by ‘70s group Les Poppys.

L'épée
Diabolique

L'épée is a collaboration between Brian Jonestown Massacre main man, Anton Newcombe, French psych-pop duo, The Limiñanas and French actor, former model and singer, Emmanuelle Seigner. Diabolique was recorded in The Limiñanas studio in the south of France then taken to Berlin by Anton, where he gave the songs a darker, more psychedelic edge.

L'épée
Dreams

L’Epee are an indie-rock supergroup featuring Anton Newcombe of Brian Jonestown Massacre, Lionel and Marie Liminana of ...wait for it…The Liminanas and Emmanuelle Seigner of Emmanuelle and Ultra Orange. Dreams is their first single and comes as a 12” with two further tracks. Surely you’re going to be interested in this, right?!

The Liminanas
Shadow People

Shadow People is the fifth album proper by Perpignan’s hazy psych-pop duo The Liminanas. Their sound is harks back to Serge Gainsbourg’s work with female vocalists such as Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin. Needless to say, then, that they exude cool. 180g vinyl LP, in a gatefold sleeve, and CD on Because Music.

The Liminanas
The Woods / The Inventor

Melding sugar-sweet vintage pop with sun-bleached psych, The Liminanas beam their utopian brand no better than on their The Woods / The Inventor release. Formed by Lio and Marie Liminana, the two-track pressing offers Django Django-esque outback guitars and the odd stark, haywire synth to boot.

The Liminanas
Istanbul Is Sleepy

Hailing from Perpignan, France The Liminanas take their influences from Serge Gainsbourg and many late ‘60s psychedelic acts. Istanbul Is Sleepy is their new single. The song features Anton Newcombe of Brian Jonestown Massacre and French actress, model and singer Emmanuelle Seigner. 12" with two exclusive tracks on Because Music.

The Liminanas with Pascal Comelade
The Curse Of Santa Claus / Silent Night

Two tracks from the well-established team-up of avant-garde toy-instrument composer Pascal Comelade and the 60’s-esque psych-poppers The Liminanas, recorded and released especially for Christmas by the Snowflakes Christmas Singles Club. The Curse Of Santa Claus is an original tune, while the B-side has a radical cover of Silent Night. 7” festive single.

The Liminanas
Gardens Of Love / Maria's Theme

The Limiñanas are the garage/psych pop outlet for French couple Lio and Marie Limiñana. Garden of Love, which features Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order, Monaco) is taken from their latest album Malamore. It is backed with the exclusive track Maria’s Theme. 7", limited to 300 copies.

The Liminanas
Garden Of Love (Andrew Weatherall Remixes)

Originally the first single from the french band’s 2016 album Malamore, and featuring ex-Joy Division/New Order mainstay Peter Hook on vocal and bass duties, The Liminanas have now packaged the song with not one, but two remixes from techno tour de force Andrew Weatherall. Released on Because Music.

The Liminanas
Malamore

The Liminanas are a French band, though you don’t need me to tell you that: just listen to those breath vocals! Malamore is their fourth album, and it finds the band very relaxed in their sonic niche: sunny, sexy, laid-back pop. It must be said, they do it well. Malamore is released by Because Music.

The Liminanas
Down Underground : LP's 2009/2014

Down Underground: LP’s 2009-2014 is a deluxe 2CD set gathering together pretty much the full complement of French duo The Liminanas’ material: three full albums and an extra rare tracks / 7”s collection to boot! So that means their self-titled debut, Crystal Anis, Costa Blanca, and a bundle of stuff you’d be hard pushed to find elsewhere! Ace!

The Liminanas
(I've Got) Trouble In My Mind - 7" and Rare Stuff 2009/2014

Hazy garage rockers The Limiñanas would appreciate it if you listened to everything they have ever recorded -- even the stuff they just made on a whim -- and so it goes. '7 Inch And Rare Stuff 2009-14' collects the French jangle pop band's singles and side-lined tunes into one package that shows off the band's decidely French approach to New York rock and punk. It features covers of bands such as the Beach Boys and Jay Reatard, who don't really have much in common otherwise.

The Liminanas
The Liminanas

The Limiñanas are the brainchild of Lio and Marie Limiñana. Beginning as a home studio project the duo spentmuch time flipping through John Barry and Ennio Morricone LP's and bookson Victorian era architecture, watching Noir films, and basking in the sun of Southern France seeking inspiration. Their first single came by way of Chicago's venerable Hozac Records in March 2010, followed up by a single 7" release, Je-ne-suis-pas-tres-drogue , on the fledgling Trouble In Mind label in April 2010. It's been noted that their are traces of Serge Gainsbourg, Beck, Stereolab, Gospel, Yeh-Yeh, guitar fuzz freakouts, and Nugget's-era stompers in the Limiñanas music.
