Vangelis
Beaubourg

Beauborg was Vangelis' sixth studio album and was originally released in 1978. It counts as probably his most impressionistic and abstract work. Inspired by an area around the Pompidou Centre in Paris, Vangelis wrote the music in about a month. It's anti-commercial sound at first was jarring for fans of his work but over the years it has gained traction perhaps for its anti-commercial stance.

Vangelis
Rosetta

Prog man Vangelis and his coat of many synthesizers. The composer actually has a new album out, if you were worried this was just gonna be another Goblin-esque reissue from the middle of nowhere -- it's a recording in tribute to a space mission, scoring and homaging the folks on the international space station. A kinder, gentler Interstellar, maybe? Maybe.

Vangelis
Blade Runner

Composed by Vangelis for Ridley Scott's 1982 classic, the Blade Runner soundtrack has assumed legendary status amongst fans of synthesizer music. Its combination of classical compositions with synth work perfect mirrors the futuristic atmospheric ambient noir of the original film. A classic of the genre.
