Emika
Klavirni

Beginning with the gentle and flickering piano riffs of 'Dilo 4', Emika (aka Ema Jolly) presents yet another soul-soothing collection of hazy and piano-driven tracks in 'Klavirni'. As an improvisation-based piece, the pioneer's sheer creativity and imagination is fully exposed for all to enjoy - it's transcending stuff.

Emika
Klavirni Temna

Emika (aka Ema Jolly) has steadily made a name for herself over the past decade, with her trip-hop infused electronica. However on 'Klavirini Temna' (meaning 'dark piano' in Czech), Emika keeps things pure and stripped-back with a cluster of heartwarming piano-driven songs - juxtaposing both dark and light themes.

Emika
Dilo Variations

Czech pioneer Emika (aka Ema Jolly) is making a name for herself in the game of leftfield neo-classical electronica. Currently residing in Berlin, the producer prepares to release 'Dilo Variations' - a piece darker in colour than anything before, but with that same elegance Emika applies to everything she does.

Emika
Falling In Love With Sadness Remixes

A remix EP of tracks from Emika’s sixth studio album Falling In Love With Sadness, released late last year for World Mental Health Day. British post-dubstep producer Pinch turns ‘Eternity’ into something cinematic; techno star Julia Govor opens ‘Run’ up and finds new depths; veteran Rebekah turns the title track into a piece of dark techno; and Headless Horseman almost completely revamps ‘Wash It All Away’. Released on green coloured 12” vinyl.

Emika
Falling In Love With Sadness

The first solo album in a little while for the busy multi-project artist that is Emika. Falling In Love With Sadness is perhaps a richer, denser listen than past Emika, with her dramatic voice sitting in a soundbed of big spacey synths and melodic hooks. Released on the artist’s own Emika Records label.

Emika
Forever Never

Fleet-footed hard-pumping electroish techno from Emika, landing 2 new tracks on an appreciative public. She pulls every bit of available magic from the minimal elements she’s chose here, wasting nothing. Forever Never is full of dance floor drama, yet it never sheds its cool steely demeanour. 12” on Emika’s very own Emika Records.

Emika
DREI

Emika is back, bearing phat beats with crazy breaks and vertigo-inducing drops. At the same time, she floats above the earthly instruments with her honest, piercing and dreamy voice. DREI showcases not only her vocal qualities, but also her love for twitchy glitches, glacial instrumentation and bass you can feel.

Nick Sutton
Angels Dreams Inches

Three excerpts from Nick Sutton’s various film soundtracks, produced in partnership with filmmaker Ian Pons Jewell. The films are called ‘Angels’, ‘¼”’ and ‘Dreamt In Flesh’, hence the tile Angels Dream Inches. And what’s more, two bold remixes from Gazelle Twin and Emika are also included. EP pressed to red and black marbled vinyl, released by Paper Folds.

Emika featuring Michaela Šrůmová and the Prague Metropolitan Orchestra
Melanfonie

Emika has experience of both the electronic production world and the symphonic classical tradition, and Melanfonie brings the two together into one huge and dramatic whole. The piece is a full-blown orchestral work, featuring the Prague Metropolitan Orcheatra and a soaringly emotional vocal performance from Michaela Šrůmová. The work is released on CD and vinyl on Emika’s Emika Records.

Emika
Flashbacks

Emika self-releases Flashbacks on vinyl 12”. After her successful How To Make A Symphony project this EP uses a similar blend of classical and electronic elements. Her delicate vocals connect the pulsing synth textures and melancholy piano. Franck Vigroux ups the tempo with a rough-edged remix as well.

Emika
DREI Remixes EP

Emika’s last album, DREI, went down very well with all sorts of characters, and so has received the appropriate reward: a remix EP. Doing the honours here are The Black Dog (a frantic dancefloor take), CNCPT (a dubbed techno version), The Exaltics (a simple but strong electro remix)... And that’s just the A-side! 12” on Emika Records.

Emika
Melancholia Euphoria

Emika is trying to take techno to the bright, hopeful places it no longer goes. Worn out by the greyscale and often inaccessible sound of artists currently working in her field, she's crafted Melancholia Euphoria, a record in which the synthwork is directed towards pop songs, the rhythms are both propulsive and involving, and the vocals sway to the insistence of the music. It's techno to lose yourself in, but also to feel jubilant about.

Emika
Dva

Available on CD or a gatefold double 12” vinyl LP on Ninja Tune. Second studio album produced by Emika herself, alongside executive producer Hank Shocklee of production tour de force The Bomb Squad (Public Enemy, LL Cool J). Pushing the moody pop ballad side of her sound more, the album even includes a cover of Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game.
