The Chronicles I & II

Lords of the best coast avant-garde, Chrome, collect all of their Chronicles onto on disc, uniting parts one and two (previously EPs) into one giant heap of abstract rock music. Chrome's industrial music swelled with percussive bursts and synth bluster that fell into place at the last possible minute.

Chrome Box

San Franciscan Kraut-rock inspired noise-sters Chrome release this limited edition vinyl box set collection of seven albums. Featuring classics Alien Soundtracks, Half Machine Lip Moves, No Humans Allowed, Blood on the Moon, The Chronicles I and II, and Into the Eyes of the Zombie King. This luxurious collector's piece includes a 4-page book featuring rare photographs and comes in an ace screen-printed box.

Alien Soundtracks I & II

An album that still sounds as futuristic as it first did in 1977, Alien Soundtracks l marks the debut of acid punk guitar wizard Helios Creed in Chrome. Chrome were years ahead of their time; making psychedelic industrial noise before any of their contemporaries. What's more, Helios purportedly claimed here he wanted to create the sound he heard while listening to Black Sabbath on acid. Alien Soundtracks ll is also included here, which is when Damon Edge reformed them in Europe during the 80s; it's comparatively commercial, but the two should make for good contrast..

Feel It Like A Scientist

Getting far out with Chrome. Feel It Like A Scientist is the newest record from San Fran based exploratory loonies. They've been going for nearly 4 decades and this is their first full length in over 10 years! Full of hypnotic keys, fuzzy guitars, propulsive drums and dark weirdo vocals. Think krautrock, psych-rock and synth punk with plenty of head nodding. Out on CD from King of Spades.

Read Only Memory

Read Only Memory is a 1979 EP by Arty, pre-industrial sci-fi punk rockers Chrome. It has been reissued with the original artwork restored to its original glory with four live bonus tracks that were recorded in 1981. Chrome were formed in San Francisco in 1975 and take inspiration from The Stooges. Read Only Memory is available on clear vinyl LP.

The Visitation

'The Visitation' was originally released in 1976 and stands as one of the understated greats in prog and experimental rock. It's short and sweet, coming in at under forty minutes, but covered ground the way Chrome loved, utilising psychedelic tones and punk leanings. Their debut record, it's now getting a grand re-release on Cleopatra records.

3rd From the Sun

3rd From The Sun is the 6th album by experimental San Franciscans Chrome. Chrome were principally founding member Damon Edge and Helios Creed. Their music takes inspiration from The Stooges by mixing their brand of chaotic rock with electronic sounds. They are credited with inventing industrial rock. 3rd From The Sun is available on vinyl LP.

Red Exposure

Arguably one of Chrome’s finest albums, 'Red Exposure' has a slightly more new wave gothic sound at times but the experimentation of Alien Soundtracks is still here. This newly reissued edition is completely remastered and includes four bonus tracks from 'Subterranean Modern' that should satisfy your acid punk needs.
