Caribou
Never Come Back (Four Tet & Morgan Geist Remixes)

Never Come Back is a track from Caribou’s tenth album, Suddenly, which was released in 2020. Here we have two remixes on one 12”. Side A sees Four Tet put an after hours, soothing, yet, exuberant twist on the track. Side B features a remix by Morgan Geist of Metro Area, Storm Queen and the Environ label fame giving it a 90s transatlantic house twist.

Caribou
Melody Day

So we're all re-pressing 7's now? Melody Day was taken from Caribou's 2007 era album Andorra and showcases his swirly psychedelic approach to music making. An added bonus is that old chum Four Tet pops up with a remix on the B side and Adem (remember him?) appears on vocals. All very good but...do we need this?

Caribou
Our Love

You reach a point in life where the question of how to stay at the top of your game looms; the only real solution being, you change the game. Our Love, the new album from Caribou, is the sound of Dan Snaith doing just that. Our Love is due October 6th on City Slang and is the sixth studio album from Caribou. The album features collaborations with Jessy Lanza and Owen Pallett. It was mixed by David Wrench and features artwork by Jason Evans/ Matthew Cooper.

Caribou
Suddenly

Dan Snaith AKA Caribou returns with his first album since the majestic Our Love in 2014. Suddenly may surprise a few fans as it doesn’t necessarily stroll down the usual Caribou path. However, one listen to the brilliant R&B/Hip-hop flavoured single, Home and you’ll be hooked! On City Slang.

Joli Mai

Daphni presents a new album! The club-dance project of Dan Snaith (also the maestro behind Caribou) recently released a Fabriclive mix that was made up of fragments of unreleased new Daphni tracks… Well now some of those tracks have been extended, completed and released, in the form of Joli Ma. Sleek and human stuff, as ever from Snaith.

Caribou
Swim

Seems Dan Snaith's musical ambition increases as his hairline recedes. The man once known as Manitoba has made a series of increasingly bold psychedelic pop as Caribou culminating in Swim which added a five piece horn section to the previous mainly home recorded work. It resulted in an album which took Snaith overground with hints of the Flaming Lips and Animal Collective in this vibrant technicolour opus.

FABRICLIVE 93: Daphni

What's Dan Snaith up to these days? Still raking in the sweet $$ from 'Can't do without you'? Well he's got enough to revive the party-hard Daphni moniker for a Fabriclive mix solely consisting of exclusive new Daphni material that'll have Keiran Hebden blushing with midtempo jealousy. Considering there hasn't been any new Daphni stuff since 2012, this is a treat for Snaithers everywhere.

Caribou
Up In Flames

Originally released under the Manitoba moniker in 2003, 'Up In Flames' was the second release from electronic musician Dan Snaith a.k.a Caribou. Often regarded as one of his finest works, the album draws upon psychedelic electronica and sun-kissed downtempo with a healthy dose of dreamy pop, and ultra-chill folktronica/indietronica. 'Up In Flames' is a warm, summery, hypnotic and uplifting album which boasts a broad appeal; indie kids, psych heads and electronic aficionados will find a lot to love in this technicolor LP.
