Kreng
Lowlife (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Sound artist and composer Kreng gets a physical release for his score for the grizzled crime-comedy flick LOWLIFE. As with a lot of Invada’s other releases, the music here tends towards the more bombastic end of the film-scoring world. What makes Kreng stand out is his ability to mix tense orchestration ala Bernard Herrmann, visceral treatments straight from the school of Trent Reznor and rich sound design without it ever sounding gimmicky.

Kreng
Selfed

Selfed is a composition produced to accompany a Kevin Trappeniers solo dance piece. It must be quite a piece to witness, as Kreng’s soundtrack is a noisy, droney, abstract work of wonder. This release is a double 10” set in blue/black and red/black wax, with the fourth side of vinyl containing an etching

Kreng
Camino - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

This is Kreng's score to the 2015 adventure thriller 'Camino' starring Zoe Bell (not Zoe Ball as I misread). The soundtrack has been compared to the dark-ish pop of Nine inch Nails but also has electronic elements and may appeal to fans of Mogwai's recent soundtrack work.  It all comes in deluxe packaging with booklet.

Kreng
Grimoire

A slow and steady burner from Kreng. Grimoire is the new full length from the Belgian spine chiller. This one is a spooky as they come, mixing ominous strings, brooding horns and some operatic vocals with subtle but punishing electronics and seamless production. Ambience meets avant-soundtrack. Pick it up on vinyl LP from Miasmah.

Kreng
Cooties

School-based horror film Cooties (starring Elijah Wood!) has an adventurous original soundtrack accompanying it, courtesy of Belgian producer Kreng. The drama runs strong through this music, which uses trip-hopping beats, lots of synths, and plenty of strings to create tense atmospheres. It stands up to listening in isolation too. On Death Waltz.

Kreng
The Summoner

Opening himself up and delving into the depths with Kreng. The Summoner is the Belgians look into grief, having lost a number of people in his life. It's full of his trademark mixture of acoustic orchestral instruments arranged effortlessly with his expansive and bottomless production - deeper than a well, this one. Out on vinyl LP and CD from Miasmah.

Kreng
L'Autopsie Phénoménale De Dieu

Kreng offers enough discordance than you can shake an industrial-strength stick at, using a plethora of acoustic instruments and a dash of irreducible ambience to create soundscapes that are deceptively listenable. L'Autopsie Phénoménale De Dieu is a foreboding marriage of neo-classical and overboard free jazz.
