The Chemistry Set
Firefly

It's 30 years of The Chemistry Set and they are still rocking out with some heavy, classic '60s psych with Firefly, released on Fruits de Mer as a 7" single. It's a heavy track that woozes into psych perfume before hammering itself home. It is backed by the gentler Sail Away.

The Chemistry Set
Lovely Cup Of Tea

The Chemistry Set show their appreciation for our home country by dedicating their latest racket to our favourite beverage (after beer), the Lovely Cuppa Tea. Featuring a cover of The Moody Blues' 'Legend of a Mind', this one is guaranteed to be warped by fuzz. I'd like to say that I'm gonna wee myself with excitement, but that's just the tea that I drank 10 minutes ago.

The Chemistry Set
The Endless More and More

London band The Chemistry Set have been viewed as one of the best neo-psychedelic bands of the last 25 years. Their love of vinyl has also supplied their cult following with plenty of treats too: Their last five 7” singles released through Fruits De Mer sold out in less than a day. Their new album, The Endless More & More follows the critical success of the 2015 EP Elapsed Memories which included a marvelous reworking of the Jimi Hendrix track Love or Confusion. The band say that this is the first time that they have been 100% happy with an album. Gold vinyl LP on Legal Crabomophone, limited to 600 copies.

The Chemistry Set
Elapsed Memories

Nothing will prepare you for that sleeve. It's like the Flying Lotus one isn't it? Here is a rarity, a Fruits de Mer record containing original material. However, what starts off folky and wistful soon turns horrid rock. DON'T EVER LOSE THE FOLK, MAN! But if that's all a bit much for you 'Mer' fans, they swiftly go back in time in order to cover Hendrix's 'Love or Confusion' bringing out their tablas and sitars. If you really dig that artwork then you really need to buy the single as they've included it as a poster. Far out!
