Oneohtrix Point Never
KCRW Session

While touring 'Age Of' Oneohtrix Point Never's stage show reached new excesses. Where previously it was one man and his gear, now he was performing with a full band, some dancers, and two sculptures. For a slightly more stripped down live performance, look to 'KCRW Session' being released by Warp Records as one of ten radio sessions to celebrate 30 years.

Daniel Lopatin
Uncut Gems (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Uncut Gems is a forthcoming crime thriller starring Adam Sandler playing against type as being a good actor. It's the second The Safdie brothers movie to feature a soundtrack by Daniel Lopatin who is making quite the career for himself as a writer of film scores further to his always impressive work as Oneohtrix Point Never.

Commissions II

Commissions II presents two new works from Daniel Lopatin’s Oneohtrix Point Never: new that is unless you were fortunate enough to witness either of the events for which these pieces were commissioned (no, that title is not a coincidence). A panoply of electronic wonder, Lopatin flexing all sorts of approaches. On Warp.

Love In The Time Of Lexapro

What if famous novel about the complexity of lovesickness but also reference to the complexity of contemporary mental health issues? The latest EP by postmodern-core superstar Oneohtrix Point Never has the answer. The titular tune is gradual, sweet and reassuringly understated - like a marine iguana. The EP packs in a Ryuichi Sakamoto rework, a collab with Alex G lifted off Age Of and a new b-side.

Oneohtrix Point Never
Age Of

The new Vangelis gets round to his eighth studio LP, to be released by Warp. Born in part from his MYRIAD project for the Red Bull Music Academy, this latest album sees Oneohtrix Point Never screwballing some new styles into his Blade Runner-goes-electroacoustic ouevre. This means computer music colliding with harpsichords as well as old folk sounds in a typically neurotic manner.

We'll Take It

Daniel Lopatin doesn’t rest on his laurels when it comes to his ever on point Oneohtrix Point Never vape-shifter material. With hardly a beat passed since Age Of, here he is back on Warp with an EP in the form of We’ll Take it. From a producer that you never know what to expect, you can be damn sure this will be forward thinking and mind melting stuff.

R Plus Seven

‘R Plus Seven’ is Oneohtrix Point Never’s sixth studio album but the first he’s released since signing to Warp Records. Daniel Lopatin’s new surroundings suit him well, with ‘R Plus Seven’ combining his signature brand of uncanny hypnagogia with the IDM and electronica innovations of Warp luminaries like Boards Of Canada and The Black Dog. One can also detect the influence of Vangelis, Lapalux and Daedelus.

Oneohtrix Point Never
Good Time (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Oneohtrix Point Never recently provided the original soundtrack to crime thriller Good Time, and the good people at Cannes thought it good enough to give OPN an award for it. Good Time works as a fully-fledged studio album, with lots of arpeggio synths and mutant sounds flying around, as well as an atmospheric track featuring Iggy Pop! CD and double LP editions on Warp.

Anohni
Paradise

Is there any artist more needed in the world right now than Anohni? If anyone has access to Donald Trump's ears then please play '4 Degrees' over and over again into them until they bleed sanity. This follow up EP was obviously written before all the recent lunacy but couldn't be better timed. Lead track 'Paradise' is an excellent vibrant call to arms and with Hudson Mohawke and Oneohtrix Point Never back on production this is a superb mix of angry dirge and electronic banger. The remainder is a mixture of new songs and material performed live. Essential.

Oneohtrix Point Never
Garden of Delete

A new full-length album from Oneohtrix Point Never, a project that Daniel Lopatin seems to be taking ever deeper into the world of digital hyper-reality. Garden Of Delete is festooned with painfully bright synth sounds and bitcrushed samples, creating a vivid and disorientating sound-universe. On Warp Records.

Commissions 1

Oneohtrix Point Never is Vaporwave pioneer and composer Daniel Lopatin, of electronic music duo Ford and Lopatin. 'Commissions 1' was collated from Oneohtrix Point Never's commissions for artwork, performance and film collaborations. This record has a soundtrack quality brought on by the nostalgic soundscapes and gentle waves of warm analog sound.

The Fall Into Time

Plunderplonics artist Oneohtrix Point Never gets plundered himself: The Fall Into Time compiles a bunch of disparate works from different releases and oddities, including some tracks from a split with Caboladies, some work with Catholic Tapes and some radio exclusives. A variable grab bag of electronic headiness.

Oneohtrix Point Never
Replica

‘Replica’ is the first record that Oneohtrix Point Never (Daniel Lopatin) has made in a studio. It shows, too - there’s greater scope and ambition here when compared to earlier releases like ‘Rifts’, with emphasis shifted somewhat (but not wholly) away from synthesisers. Sampling takes a more prominent role - there’s Falty DL and Flying Lotus in this thing - as well as piano vignettes (‘Replica’) and manipulated vocal tracks (‘Child Soldier’). Everything is suffused with an air of computer-age uncanniness.
