Love What Survives - Remixes Part 1

Mount Kimbie’s fine LP Love What Survives has spawned two remix EPs, both of which drop in May. The first of these features three versions of King Krule collaboration ‘Blue Train Lines’, all of which come from the workhouse of Nina Kraviz. The big-shot DJ turns the rumbling post-punk of the original into a needling minimal techno workout for the ‘Main Mix’, then offers up two club-friendly re-rubs.

Love What Survives

As the third album from British electronic duo Mount Kimbie, September 8th released Love What Survives promises to be their most expansive and ambitious yet. Featuring cameos from the Mercury-winning James Blake, just the tracklist highlights the steep progression of this band since their previous 2013 album. Off-kilter indie-dance.

Mount Kimbie
Crooks & Lovers

Mount Kimbie's debut album was something of a revelation on release in 2010. It blended the then (and probably still in many quarters) in-vogue dubstep sound with a more kinetic form of improvised playing that drew influences from electronica, jazz and post-rock. The result was an inspirational blend of hypnotic (mostly) instrumental sound craft that no home should be without. This re-press vinyl on Hotflush is essential wax for your collection.
