British Sea Power
Let The Dancers Inherit The Party

Although their unique way with live performance and semi-bonkers ideas might suggest otherwise, British Sea Power's music is often very standard stadium leaning rock and they continue this trend on this their first new material in four years. Full of intelligent songs the clunkily titled Let the Dance's Inherit the Party features the usual wide range of subject manner pinned on to blustery '80s inspired pop/rock.

The Decline Of British Sea Power

2003 was a bit before the vinyl craze we find ourselves in which will explain this reissue of British Sea Power’s debut LP from 2003, The Decline of British Sea Power  - some classic, footstompin' indie rock with solid guitar hooks and catchy choruses. Here we have a vinyl LP reissue, a 2CD issue with extra bits and bobs, a CD Box-set with 2CDs and a DVD all in a fancy casing and an indie exclusive issue of 4CDs, a DVD and 2LPs. Something for everyone there.

British Sea Power
From The Sea To The Land Beyond

Naughty cover artwork alert! The British Sea Power project reached its final form with 2013’s ‘From The Sea To The Land Beyond’. You see, ‘From The Sea To The Land Beyond’ is an accompaniment for a film of the same name, a film which is made up of footage of the British coastline that the BFI had knocking around in their archives. For the soundtrack the Cumbrian indie rockers went over songs from their own back-catalogue and re-worked them for the movie. All are included here along with a bonus number that didn’t make it to the screen.

British Sea Power
Machineries Of Joy

For all their eccentric ideas, great merchandise and thrilling live shows the actual music of British Sea Power stays in a reliable comfort zone. Theirs is a form of stadium-leaning widescreen rock that sits somewhere amongst the company of The National and Elbow. Machineries Of Joy was their fifth album and as is their want, they found an unusual way of working  - recordings the tracks as EPs then releasing the whole thing as an album once they'd done enough.
