British Murder Boys
Fire In The Still Air

Yes folks, the Boys are back in town. Apart, Regis and Surgeon are two of the scene’s most pummelling and relentless purveyors of industrial techno, but together… Well, its heavy. Fire In The Still Air, the first British Murder Boys release in some years, is just as angry and vivid as you would wish it to be. Released on CD by Downwards.

British Murder Boys
Learn Your Lesson

British Murder Boys are, of course, the experimental techno duo of techno experimentalists Regis and Surgeon. Formed in the early 2000s, reformed a few years ago, and apparently recently dissolved again, this 12” on Counterbalance is in fact an archive release from 2003. If you are familiar with either of these producers, you can imagine what tracks "Learn Your Lesson" and "Rule By Law" might sound like.

British Murder Boys
Don't Give Way To Fear

British Murder Boys are Anthony Child and Karl O'Connor who you probably know better as noisy techno blokes Surgeon and Regis. This is repress their 2003 12" Don't Give Way To Fear. Look lads, if you're gonna run around calling yourselves MURDER BOYS I don't care where you're from I'm gonna be a little bit scared.

Regis
The Master Side

Straight out of the Boiler Room’s secret torture chamber comes a new vinyl-only offering from Regis on Blackest Ever Black - probably one of the blackest known labels. The Master Side is not one but two sides o’ sinister techno numbers. While the A-side is noisier and more energetic, the B-side goes for a more brooding tone with superb, acidic bass whips. This one will be filling a few floors at cathartic parties. RIYL Ancient Methods and other such ‘black techno’.

Regis
Live in N.Y.C.

Birmingham's very own techno journeyman and legend Regis has some rare live tapes set free. Live in N.Y.C. features freshly unearthed recordings which took place at New York's Film Academy in January 1997. Transferred from tape by James Ruskin and mastered by Veronica Vasicka. The limited-edition 5-track record is on 160-gram clear red vinyl and comes in a gloss sleeve. 10" EP on Cititrax.

My Disco, Regis, Lustmord
Severe Remixes

This is a quintessentially Downwards release: take original tracks from a tightly-austere post-punk group like My Disco and hand them over to tough industrial producer Regis on the one side and lord of ambient darkness Lustmord on the other. All that leaves very little room for light: perfect. Severe Remixes is pressed in an edition of 500 12”s.

Regis
Manbait

‘Manbait’ is the new double LP release from Regis aka Karl O’Connor (Downwards records, Sandwell District collective, British Murder Boys). The record features several new versions of three original tracks, remixes of Raime, Vatican Shadow, Ike Yard and Dalhous, an alternate mix of Tropic of Cancer’s ‘Plant Lilies At My Head’ and a new take on a song from Regis’s teen, synth punk band Family Sex.
