The Explorers Club

The Explorers Club are a ‘60s-style pop band based in Nashville. Their eponymous album just happens to be their fourth outing. Led by only constant member Jason Brewer they have a particular fondness for The Beach Boys, The Turtles and The Association, influences that shine brightly from their sun-baked sound. On Goldstar Recordings.

To Sing and Be Born Again

Nashville-based ‘60s pop obsessives The Explorers Club augment the release of their eponymous fourth album with an album of covers. To Sing and Be Born Again includes versions of songs by The Turtles, Manfred Mann, Boyce & Hart, Herb Alpert, Paul Revere & The Raiders and more. On Goldstar Recordings.

Together

It's safe to say that the Explorers Club are influenced by the Beach Boys. Just look at that album title and sleeve.... then look at this one. They painstakingly try to re-create the post Pet Sounds era of America's finest vocal group adding in a certain amount of '70s schmaltz to the equation. This, their third album nods at the soft rock of the Carpenters and Captain and Tennille which lends parts of the album the feel of late '70s Beach Boys efforts such as 'MIU' and 'Keeping the Summer Alive'.
