Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook
The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 5 (Psychedelic Brunch)

Klaus Shultz and Pete Namlook were pioneering artists in German electronic music. The Dark Side Of The Moog was a series of albums showcasing the, then brand new, Moog synthesizer. Vol. 5 - Psychedelic Brunch, features inventor Robert Moog himself, playing an intro to the 8 part ambient, atmospheric track.

Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook
The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 8

You know an instrument maker is important when albums start being named after it. This is the eighth volume in Klaus Schulze and Pete Namlook's influential series 'The Dark Side Of The Moog'. Although, according to Namlook, the series was not an homage to Pink Floyd, it is still expansive, genre-bending, and mind-expanding, with proggy undertones and synth aplenty.

Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook
The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 7

The seventh instalment in Klaus Schulze and Pete Namlook's series 'The Dark Side Of The Moog' is one for electronica fans everywhere. It's dark and meandering with plenty of synths and haunting atmospheres. As with all volumes in this series, it makes you feel like you're wandering around an abandoned spaceship at night. What's not to love?

Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook
The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 6 (The Final DAT)

The Dark Side Of The Moog series of albums by Klaus Schultz and Pete Namlook took Pink Floyd songs and reworked them for the Moog synthesizer. Vol. 6 - The Final DAT from 1997 is their version of the title track from the band’s 1983 album, The Final Cut. Schultz has a recording career that stretches back to 1969, including a stint in Tangerine Dream. Namlook was an important figure in electronic music until his untimely death in 2012.

Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook
The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 3

This is the third collection of tracks from Klaus Schulze and Pete Namlook entitled, you guessed it, The Dark Side of the Moog (Vol. 3). This one also brings about the composers differing electronic sounds and throws them together to create electronic master pieces. Available on double vinyl LP with an insert, and released on Music on Vinyl.

Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook
The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 4

The Dark Side of the Moog (Vol. 4) is another compilation record from two great electronic composers: Klaus Schulze and Pete Namlook. Apart from looking rather cool on the record sleeve, the music is pretty damn cool, too. Available on a double vinyl LP with an insert, and released on Music on Vinyl.

The Fires of Ork
The Fires of Ork

The Fires Of Ork is a collaboration between great ambient talent Biosphere and synth-explorer (and Klaus Schulze collaborator) Pete Namlook. Their two albums were released in 1993 and 2000, but you can get all of that material in one convenient package here on this two disc CD reissue. If you like either or both of these artists, you need this. On Biophon Records.

Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook
The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 1

The legendary Klaus Schulze and his similarly synth-toting pal Pete Namlook loved their Pink Floyd, like any good psychedelic travellers would, and they carried this inspiration over to their Dark Side Of The Moog series. These ain’t covers though: the material here on Volume One is space-synth ambient music on an epic scale. Double LP release from Music On Vinyl.

Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook
The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 2

The legendary Klaus Schulze and his similarly synth-toting pal Pete Namlook loved their Pink Floyd, like any good psychedelic travellers would, and they carried this inspiration over to their Dark Side Of The Moog series, of which this is Volume Two. Subtitled A Saucerful of Ambience, this is another colossal slab of Schulzetastic space-synth magic. Double LP release from Music On Vinyl.

Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook
The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 5-8

The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 5 - 8 continues the epic archival effort to tunnel through the recordings that were made when the legendary Klaus Schulze started working with Pete Namlook on an array of Moog synthesisers. This 5CD box-set is a hell of a trip through the spaceways, and getting this much material allows a stronger insight into the creative process. On MIG Music.

Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook
The Dark Side Of The Moog Vol. 1-4

These 5 CDs contain more Moog than you’ve ever dreamt of.
