Vashti Bunyan
Heartleap

'Heartleap' is the third and final record in a pastoral folk trilogy that has spun over forty years. Vashti Bunyan released her first record, 'Just Another Diamond Day', in 1970; panned by critics in its time for its natural elements and seeming triviality, it's become a staple for any fan of folk rock. Bunyan only recovered from her bad press in 2005, when she released her understated followup 'Lookaftering'. She's now releasing 'Heartleap', ten songs of a similarly sparse fashion, for FatCat. This is a cult musician in motion!

Just Another Diamond Day

Just Another Diamond Day by Vashti Bunyan, released in 1970, is notable for being a gentle folk classic, but also for being her only album until 2005’s Lookaftering. The album tells the tell of the time she left civilisation to join Donovan’s community of creative hippy types in the Hebrides. It was produced by Joe Boyd and features the musical talents of Robin Williamson of The Incredible String Band, and Simon Nicol and Dave Swarbrick of Fairport Convention. 180g reissue LP in replica gatefold sleeve, limited to 1000 copies.
